Bespoke Screening of Phil’s Award-Winning Image in Manchester
Digital Ad Giant JCDecaux UK arranged a special screening of Phil’s winning Portrait of Britain 2020 image on his home turf at Manchester’s Piccadilly Train Station. Phil got in touch with the competitions key sponsor to find out where he could see his winning photograph displayed on their UK network of digital advertising screens.
JCDecaux were quick to respond to the request and explained that whilst the pictures were being played ‘programmatically’, i.e. they get displayed live at the last minute on the best display available, they would arrange a special screening for Phil over a weekend at Piccadilly Train Station.
A delighted Phil naturally spent over an hour there taking pictures of the image on display in the same way he would with any of his corporate assignments.
“It’s really fantastic when you get such a great level of co-operation and enthusiasm about your work from busy professionals in large global corporations. Everyone needs a bit of good news and help in the current state of affairs and it’s definItely given me a massive boost”.
The contest was organised by the British Journal of Photography in Partnership alongside JCDecaux Group - a multinational corporation based in Neuilly-sur-Seine, near Paris, France, and one of the largest outdoor advertising corporations in the world.
“We wanted to say how much we loved your picture” Janet Guest, Head of Communication, JCDecaux UK
